Death of Actor Jon Cypher
Shroud Burial — August 11, 10:00 AM
The Forest Conservation Burial Ground, Ashland, Oregon
Actor Jon Cypher passed suddenly on August 3 at his home at Twin Creeks, Central Point, Oregon, with his wife of 40 years, Carol Rosin by his side. Jon will be buried at The Forest Conservation Burial Ground, at Willow-Witt Ranch, Ashland OR, under tall trees with a meadow view, in a biodegradable shroud that supports his wish to return to nature.
Among his long list of acting credits, Jon is known for his TV roles such as Chief Daniels on Hill Street Blues, General Craig on Major Dad, as Prince Charming in the original production of Cinderella with Julie Andrews, 12 Broadway shows including Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, Thomas Jefferson in 1776, Peron in Evita, and many others. He appeared in several movies including Masters of the Universe, Spontaneous Combustion, Strictly Business, Valdez Is Coming, hundreds of guest starring roles, and sang opera in four languages.
As host of the 2001 Disclosure Project at the D.C. National Press Club, Jon was outspoken in support of urgent recognition of truth about consciousness, non-threatening ETs and their crafts, and the call to sign the Treaty to Prevent the Placement of Weapons in Outer Space.
Jon authored a book of limericks reviewed as a masterpiece in our time: If You’re Not Depressed You Oughta Be in Therapy. He was the most kind of men with a great sense of humor, brilliant mind, and a huge loving and caring heart for all sacred life.
Jon will be buried in a non-toxic biodegradable shroud without the use of chemicals, concrete, metal, or plastic in a place that observes and honors nature, life and death, and the grief that connects us all. In his prayers for peace and love to prevail on our home planet and in the cosmos, this forest burial and Jon’s beautiful resting place is open to all to visit.
