Comfrey -Technical Crop Report (Free Download)

$0.00

Note:  I was exporting this to Osaka, Japan (1989), as a primary feed to their cattle (pellets and cubes).  I discovered how establish, grow, and then harvest the leaf.  It could be sun-dried (unlike alfalfa), as it would rot in the field (1987).  I then sold the leaf, as a "60% comfrey/40% alfalfa cube (or pellet)," at 400 tons/year (in 1989).  Their feedlots at that time were three (3) 60-story buildings, where the cattle never saw the light of day.  They were rampant with diseases, until they used this feed.  I discovered that both L-lysine and L-alanine), essential amino acids, were both missing in an Alfalfa-only diet.

This is "just one, of 360, PDFs (technical crop reports)" I plan to use for Part 2 - Crops for The Encyclopedia of Alternative Agriculture  (non-storable).  (..and this represents "just one, of 147, unfinished manuscripts.")
